Thank you all for doing your part in scorching heat to make the world a better dressed place. We, too had temperatures going north of 100ºF well into the evening. It’s going to be even warmer this week.
“It’s hot. It’s like Africa hot. If it’s going to be this hot, I don’t think I can stay.” Matthew Broderick “”Biloxi Blues.”
Well, you’ve noticed the new look to the header. I find it striking. Exactly what I would not have imagined and even better than I could have hoped for. The creative brief called for a header to strike the right balance of casual, sophisticated, fun and elegant. A tall order to fill.
Bingo!
The designer is a very charming and talented Stephanie Russell, who is responsible for even more charming designs for Ink and Paper.
Wrapping paper to rival the best gifts:
Baby cards, holiday cards, Valentine’s Day cards, onesies, t-shirts and the like, all inspired by colour, texture, design and paper, of course… With the heat and humidity arriving, isn’t it nice to know that something will look fresh and new?

How fantastic! Okay, now I’m envious. I must get a new header designed.
Thanks Aesthete. I was truly (and pleasantly) shocked to see this one. The creative brief was about ten pages of images and text. It is a fun process, though.
Beautiful! Well done.
Thank you LBT. The plan is to change it up seasonally. Working on a blacktie option, too.
All I see as the “new header” is a large blue stripe: no text, no graphics; nothing but blue.
Blacktie, how debonair!
Very nice designs, fresh, crisp and witty.
Thank you Mrs. PvE!
Inspector Morse, that’s odd. You should see a yellow houndstooth banner with a few images and the blog title… if you empty your cache, it may show up. Otherwise, what browser do you use? I’ll get someone to look into it. Thanks for the head’s up.
The new header miraculously appeared, without my having done anything.
Excellent design!
OMG, the “africa hot” line is a favorite of my family. I was going to use it on my blog this week but I didn’t think anyone would get it. So glad you did!
P.S. I tagged you on my blog today. I hope you will play along and tell us more about you!
Hi HC, one of ours, too. I used to use it at PT in high summer. I’ll do my best to follow up your “tagged” post. Thanks for the opportunity.
