There are a lot of resources for people wishing to learn the fine art of throwing elegant soirées, dressing a table for 12 guests, and arranging flowers for the wedding party. They are wonderful idea books. But is that designer look easy to pull off when you work full-time and live in a third floor walk-up?
That’s what this catagory of my blog is all about. Not necessarily faking it…., but at least making it easy to host a memorable, and fun, evening. That’s fun for everyone — host and hostess included.
So please send in your ideas about how to make this site even better, or things that have worked for you in the past.
In the meantime, let’s mix a drink and get down to business.

HI -
I saw that you enjoyed your dinner at cafe 805 with Bartholomew Broadbent. Looks like a great dinner and so happy to hear you are a new fan of Chateau Musar wines.
They are quite amazing indeed. I am the Sales & marketing manager for Bartholomew’s company, Broadbent Selections, and would like to post your photo with him and link to our company Facebook page and let folks read your article.
Please let me know at your earliest moment.
thank you
Nicole
Hello Nicole, Happily. Let me correct the typo first though. Embarrassing, given my profession.
