This photograph was taken by a pro. (Click the photo to go to her tumblr site, which is fantastic!) I’ve used the photo without permission, but I had to pass it along to you. This is head-to-toe Ralph Lauren. Those high-waisted pants, cropped jacket, fur detail and the gauzy blouse infusing the whole with femininity! Passing a woman this well turned out would stop me in my tracks.
Now, it would be great if we all had the clothing budget to allow us to be dressed by the top lines of the top designers and tailors of the world, but the reality is that most of us do not. (And seriously you 1%ers, step up your game. Even if it means personal trainers and shoppers.) But that doesn’t mean that you can’t be inspired by shots like this. Keep those images in the back of your mind (or on your eDevice) when you go shopping. Find a piece and add it to the wardrobe. Clothing this classic will never be out of style. It may be out of fashion, but never out of style.

What a great line: “It may be out of fashion, but never out of style.” Yes, sir, 100% spot on, and committed to memory. Thanks.
Such a great reminder of what we can aspire to!
Agreed CL. It just takes a bit of effort to stand out (in a good way)!
George, thanks. Even a blind squirrel…
