If you’re here at the website, you’ll notice a new banner ad. It is for Barksdale Theatre’s production of “Lend Me a Tenor”, which closes this week.
Three reasons to go to see this at once:
1) It’s very funny and who couldn’t use a real belly laugh these days? The reviews are phenomenal.
2) The director, Scott Wichmann, is about to deploy to Afghanistan and then relocate to the West Coast. His talent is colossal, he is a true performer and I bet he’s an actor’s director, too.
3) Live theatre is 4-D. You get it all and the experience of the show’s being performed live with all that that can entail. Barksdale is Central Virginia’s only professional theatre and the quality of the performance is a joy — so if you don’t feel like making the trip to New York or Washington D.C. this week, take a trip to Willow Lawn. You’ll be glad you did.
I’ll see you there Thursday night.
It is wonderful to know such talent exists right in one’s own backyard….enjoy the show, it sounds wonderful.
