Time Out(side)

The best place to look for God is in a garden. You can dig for Him there.

— George Bernard Shaw

Wow! Sorry about that. I came back to The Manse after working out and decided to take a coffee outside whilst I stopped perspiring and shaking. I took along a copy of Port Magazine and the next thing I knew, it was time for a bit of luncheon.

It is a truly beautiful day, no humidity, temperatures in the mid-70’sF and very sunny. considering that we live in the middle of the city, the traffic noise is almost non-existent after “rush-hour.” All I can hear is the chirruping of birds, the wind in the trees and the odd leaf blower in the distance. No phone, no radio, no computer or television to distract from a perfectly tranquil and relaxing morning.

I think I’ll make a day of it. Let’s call it a mental health day, shall we? Take some time outside today. You’ll be glad you did.

A wonderful quote–no apology needed! The woodland plants–Heleobore, ferns, Soloman Seal, May Flower, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Lily of the Valley–are particularly smashing right now during the cool Spring we are experiencing this year. And we are on our second round of Rhubarb Crisp . . .
