Just as a well-cut pair of khakis is essential kit for the summer, as the weather cools it is the grey flannel trouser that becomes a staple in the easy and elegant life wardrobe. Easy to dress down and elegant when paired with a blue blazer or tweed sport coat, grey flannels are a workhorse. I have a half-dozen in different cuts and finishes (woolen and worsted) to take me through ’til summer.
I even lounge around the house in them; these are double forward pleat with a side tab and two-inch cuff. But you may want to consider something similar for Hallowe’en this year… with a tan, of course.
